My Snowboarding Adventure
Unfortunately I do not have any pictures for this post...but that is probably to my advantage because by the end of the day I was so pooped and so sore that I did not want any pictures taken! I went snowboarding for the first time ever with a really good friend of mine. He was a good teacher but I wasn't a very good learner I guess..because I did a lot more falling than snowboarding!! It was fun, and I would like to try it again but I am EXTREMELY SORE! I am icing my knee as I type. It is swollen from all of my "accidents" lol. What's sad..is that I fell before we even got to the dang place to go snowboarding! We stopped at walmart on our way there so I could get some gloves, and for those of you who don't pay attention to the weather out in TN we have had snow since Monday like all day non stop snow. So needless to say there was a lot of black ice....and lucky me just happens to walk right across it..not paying any attention because I'm on the phone with my mom all excited about my snowboarding adventure! The next thing I know I'm on my knees! Yes it did hurt..and I think that was Heavenly Father saying Heather this is how it's going to be the rest of the day! Because that is exactly how it went...board fall board fall...fall fall fall! lol So I will be staying away from the slopes for a little while..lol but I would like to go back. I think I may try skiing next time, it looks so much easier!

My New "Do"
I got my hair cut last week to try to look more "professional" for when I start my student teaching. I was getting tired of the same-o hairdo, and last year I tried short hair and it was definitely not for me..lol. So this isn't too short just more layers and fun to wear it straight or curly..and I can still put it in a pony tail.

UT Basketball
Last Wednesday, January 7th was my best friend Ashley's Birthday. She is a huge UT fan and the boys basketball just happened to be playing that night in Knoxville so we got tickets! I had never been to a college basketball game before so I was excited. We were all decked out in our UT gear (except for Andy of course!) and we were ready to go. We ended up having to park a mile away because all the parking that was somewhat close to the stadium was only for season ticket holders....can you believe that! So we had to walk forever in the FREEZING cold weather! It was worth it because we had a blast! We got our food before we headed up to our seats...and when I saw up, I mean way up! We were the second row from the very top. This made me nervous because I am terribly afraid of heights. (I mean really really bad)...so I'm holding my coat, a big drink with no lid (I hate when they don't give you a lid!) and my hot dog...leaving no hands free to hold on to the hand-rail to assure my safety of not missing a step and falling all the way down the millions of stairs. Don't worry..we made it! I don't know a lot about basketball, but I did learn that the fans don't sit until UT scores a basket. Which I felt bad that I didn't do..but after all that hiking just to get to our seat...along with my nerves being shot from my fear of falling...all I wanted to do was sit down and eat my hot dog! lol The game was intense and unfortunately our boys lost it in the end..but we had so much fun and I hope we can go to another game before the season is over!

Making Babies
Don't worry..I'm not pregnant and we're not trying...YET! lol :) But I found this website on someone else's blog and thought I would try it out. I'm curious to know if our babies will really look like this, (their hair seems kinda light to me..with mine being really dark and Andy's more of a darker shade of brown also..) so we will se :). I have family and friends that are pregnant right now so it's hard not to get a little excited..lol. Right now the goal is to finish school so I willbe preoccupied with that until May! You guys should try it out and see what you come up with!
