It has been way too long since I have updated this blog, but there have been so many things going on the past couple of months I haven't had time to really spend some quality time in the blog world. :) So I will start from the beginning going back to August. At the end of August our lease was up on our apartment, and Andy and I had been looking at houses and found one. We put in an offer, it was accepted and waala! But our closing date wasn't going to be until the end of September, so we decided to move in with my parents until we closed on the house. They very last weekend in August we got all of our things out and cleaned up the apartment. I happened to be off that weekend so we decided to go to the Home Show in Knoxville. We had gotten free tickets from very good friends of ours that we go to church with that own their own business and were set up at the show. This home show is very important because this is where we adopted Wilbur. Who would've thought that a dog adoption place would be set up at a Home Show? But it was definitely fate because once I saw Wilbur I knew we had to have him! He was the only dog that wasn't on a leash and he was laying right next to the lady that was fostering all the dogs. He was so mellow and just hanging out. I went over to pet him and he was just so calm and sweet. We walked through the entire home show and then we went back to where the doggies were and after much discussion with Andy we decided we would take him home. He is the sweetest dog I have ever met and so loveable. He is very shy and skiddish, especially around males. (Him and Andy are still kind of warming up to each other) but he really loves me and that makes me feel good :) lol I just hope that him and Andy can bond and have as much fun as Wilbur and I do when Andy isn't home.. Wilbur is a completely different dog when Andy isn't home. He loves to play and run around the house and shake his toys around. So he has adjusted well. :) We closed on our house Sept. 18th, but didn't actually get into the house until the following week because we allowed the little 80 year old lady we bought it from time to get all of her things out in a timely fashion. So on Sept. 28th we started tearing off wall paper, cleaning, and painting. And slowly bringing some things over. We didn't actually start living here until October 11th.
On October 9th, I was driving home from work heading to the new house, because I had bought a brand new shower curtain, rod, and rings that I was so excited to hang up. Andy was already at the house and I was about 2 minutes away, on a back road, at night while it was raining. I got into a car accident and totaled my car. There was a lady driving in the opposite direction came around a curve too fast and lost control. She ran into me and kept spinning, and she ran me off the road into a ditch. I think it scared me more than anything just the fact that I wasn't on the road anymore, and the road was above me and not the same level as me. Andy got there before the police and made sure that everyone was ok. The driver of the other car was ok, which was good. Andy drove me to the hospital. I was fine, not even a scratch, just sore and wanted to take all precautions to make sure. We were very grateful I was in the PT Cruiser and not my old eclipse. The Cruiser held up really well and I was suprised that they totaled it. So we were off to find a new car. A new house and new car all within the same month was not something we planned on! But we found something nice and reasonable. I ended up with a 2006 Chevy Malibu. I absolutely love it! So in the end everything worked out :)
Things are going great and we are still working on the house. Still more things to be unpacked, and we still have big plans for new flooring, remodeling the bathroom in our bedroom, and a few other big things we have planned. All within time though. It's fun turning a house into a home, and I am so excited knowing that we will have our first child here....someday :) We are having a house warming party this Saturday, I will try to take some pictures of the house to post soon.

Here is Wilbur on his bed in our bedroom.
